Hydrotherapy

What is it?

Hydrotherapy is another term for Balneotherapy and incorporates water treatments such as underwater massages, hot and cold showers, mineral baths and jet sprays to maintain health, prevent disease and assists in the healing process of almost any ailment.

How does it work?

The therapy is one of the oldest methods known to man and Sebastian Kneipp (1821-97) believed that water would dissolve matter-containing disease, remove diseased matter from the body and strengthen the body by restoring cleansed blood to the tissues and maximizing circulation, which is why treatments are frequently called ‘Kneipp Baths’.

What does it treat?

Externally water can improve blood and lymph circulation, relax tension in the tissues, alleviate pain and calm the nervous system.
