Crenotherapy

What is it?

Crenotherapy is the term to define any treatment incorporating mineral water, mud and vapour. Treatments involving drinking mineral waters are among the oldest therapies in the world.  When food lacks essential components such as selenium, calcium and copper drinking these rich mineral waters can supply the body with these important elements.

How does it work?

Properly dosed water gently regulates the functioning of the stomach, bowels, kidneys and liver and is also an effective treatment for gastric conditions and intestinal problems. Different methods are used for the absorption of medicinal water externally, for example by mud poultice, water massage, mobility pool, spray pool, aero bath or jet sprays.

What does it treat?

Drinking the medicinal waters in specially defined doses (relating to amount, temperature, and time taken) is very beneficial to the digestive system, and boosts overall health and immunity by supplying the body with essential micro and macro elements.  Taken internally water can have laxative, diuretic, phlegm producing or perspiration-inducing effects.
