Assisted Reproduction with anonymous or non- anonymous donors

If you have to undergo donor assisted reproduction treatment, you can already choose if

you prefer an anonymous or a non- anonymous egg and/or sperm donor.

Institut Marquès, an international centre with locations in different European countries,

offers two alternatives to those patients who require Donor In Vitro Fertilisation or Artificial Insemination: using anonymous or non- anonymous donors for their treatments,

as they prefer.

In case of non-anonymous donors, the treatment will be carried out at its Irish headquarters in Clane. Patients will be able to choose their donor from a gamete bank and have all their personal information, pictures, etc. or, if they prefer so, using a known donor (relative or friend, for instance). In any case, once their child turns 18 years old he/she will have the possibility to obtain all the information about the donor. On the other hand, should you prefer an anonymous egg or sperm donor, the treatment will be carried out at the centre’s main headquarters in Spain (Barcelona), where donation is based on the principles of anonymity and altruism. In this case, the doctor will be the one to choose the donor taking into account the physical features of the future parents, who will only get the necessary medical information about her/him.
