If you are considering infertility treatment abroad, then why not find out about other people's experiences of treatment overseas. These patient stories supplied by our featured hospitals and clinics provide examples of the kind of infertility treatment and treatment for which UK patients have gone abroad.
They are real stories of real people. Each story provides an indication of how much the treatment would have cost in the UK, and what was paid for infertility treatment abroad.
Thank you very much for opening your doors for me

Do not give up: being a mother after cancer is possible
In-vitro fertilisation (IVF)
After many years fighting cancer and a couple of failed attempts on the way, Elena finally managed to become the mother to a beautiful baby-girl, Paula, thanks to the Oncology and Reproductive Medicine Unit at Institut Marquès.
Do not give up: being a mother after cancer is possible
Paula is not even two weeks old. I am a primary school teacher. I love children and I have always wanted to be a mother, but cancer shattered my dream for a long time. I faced two unsuccessful attempts of becoming pregnant in other clinics. However, I never gave up… At that point, Institut Marquès appeared in our lives. The experience there could not have been better, both in terms of the medical care and the treatment we received. In only a couple of months, we finally succeeded. It has been like a miracle. To those women that face situations like mine, I would tell them not to give up; they are not alone and the fight is worth it.
Best regards,
Elena, Alberto and Paula
