British Ambassador Andy Garth officiated at the opening of the new English-speaking Smile Clinic in Bratislava on 2 October, complete with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
After nine years of treating UK patients, under the brand name “Dental Holiday”, Smile Clinic Slovakia has opened a new English-speaking dental clinic in Bratislava city center, Tower 115 (the tallest building in Bratislava), near the Slovak National Theatre on the banks of the River Danube.
This state-of-the-art dental clinic is designed with the very latest in dentistry technology especially for the local International community in Bratislava. Smile Clinic has treated over 3,000 UK patients and thousands of Slovak patients, who travel from all over Slovakia to receive dental treatment from Smile Clinic’s renowned implantologist, Dr. Marek Salka. Dr. Salka, who trained and lived in the UK and has been in practice for over 14 years and speaks at various dental conferences and events abroad.
Dr. Salka, and his business manager, Daniel Shaw, co-founders of Smile Clinic Slovakia, started out with just four staff members and are completely amazed by the growth of Smile Clinic - Dental Holiday and the demand for English-speaking dental treatment abroad.
Currently both the Piešťany and Bratislava clinics together comprise almost 30 English-speaking dental care professionals including our driver Dano who picks up patients at Bratislava airport and drives them to and from the airport to our clinic in Piešťany. The clinic employs 3 hygienists, 3 care plan managers, seven dentists and eight nursing care specialists and of course, all speak English. Smile Clinic Slovakia - Dental Holiday, also employs six lab technicians located next to the Piešťany clinic to ensure patients receive the best dental care possible, quickly and efficiently.
