GENESIS Hospital, who are intending to expand into medical tourism, participated in the annual “IMTJ Medical Travel Summit 2018” which was held in Athens in May.
The International Medical Travel Journal (IMTJ) chose Greece to hold the summit because it has a growing interest in the health tourism sector.
The main sponsor of the summit was the Greek Medical Tourism Council, ELITOUR, which GENESIS Hospital is a founding member of.
At the summit, the development of health tourism in the international market was discussed. Representatives of GENESIS Hospital learned about issues relating to the marketing of health tourism, the importance of international certifications, and the role of providing health services in light of the increasing needs of medical tourism.
