Doctor Eduardo Crooke Gonzales de Aguilar director of implantology at Dental Stetic talks about the latest new techniques in dental implants and informs us about the new concept the so called “immediate setting” which allows dental implants to be inserted on the same day.

Dr. Gonzales confirms that yes it is possible to insert the dental implants on the same day. The technique can be performed on the majority of the patients who are going to have the lower part of the mouth totally replaced. Several year of experience have shown how when placing lower teeth the bones respond well biomechanically and may have improve the connection of the dental implants to the bone itself, if the dental implants are supported with the rigid structure on the same day.

Dr. Crooke goes on to comment they always perform an oral scan to assess the quantity and quality of the bone in the mouth of the patient. With this oral scan they can determine if this treatment is viable or not for the patient during the same appointment. The scanner they use is one of the latest generations and takes just 14 seconds to perform the scan and the image is ready in just 7 minutes.

Also due to the clinic having its own laboratory which works exclusively for the clinic they can insert the teeth in just 2 or 3 hours after the surgery.

This basically means that of the intervention the patient can get back to their daily routine. This also provides the patient with greater comfort and a faster return to the normal life. Dr. Crooke also mentions that this treatment is more common for the lower part of the mouth. For the upper part of the mouth there needs to be a more in-depth evaluation.

Also when there are just one or two teeth missing this technique is also possible according to Dr. Crooke. So for those who want to look their best for Christmas there is no excuse why not to have new teeth for Christmas.
