Knee arthroscopy surgery in India

Treatment: Knee arthroscopy (keyhole investigation of the knee)
Provider: Apollo Hospitals
Date: Jul 2010

Ms Karen Holman needed knee surgery but the private quote she had been given in the UK was far too expensive.  She heard that the Apollo Hospitals in India had an excellent reputation so she contacted The Taj Medical Group (Apollo’s Health Care Facilitator in the UK) who swiftly made all the arrangements including handling of Karen’s clinical records, x-rays, scans to securing the most appropriate Surgeon.  The Taj Medical Group  also arranged the flights, visas and accommodation.

“Every aspect of the experience exceeded my expectations, right from the initial welcome at the airport.  Every member of the team was sincere in making sure I felt comfortable, the clinical and nursing standards were exceptional and Dr. Gulati and his team gave me a dedicated professional and personal service.  I stayed in the hospital for 12 days and all aspects of care were first class including cleanliness, hygiene, dietary and the physiotherapy” she said.

In the UK Ms Holman had been quoted £6,000 for knee arthroscopy surgery but in India she paid just £1,994.
