European Air Ambulance (EAA) is one of the largest specialised air ambulance service providers in Europe offering worldwide air ambulance repatriation with outstanding end-to-end patient care.
The aircraft are dedicated to ambulance missions and equipped with a customised stretcher system, ICU medical equipment as well as all necessary drugs. All missions are staffed with a medical team consisting of a specialised physician and a flight nurse.
They are ready to take off day and night, 365 days a year for missions worldwide.
European Air Ambulance can provide you with a large range of medical services. For all services please contact the EAA Mission Control Centre, open 365 days a year 24 hours a day. Call +352 26 26 00 or click here to request a quote.
Air ambulance repatriation including 1 physician and 1 flight nurse or paramedic, medical pre-flight clearance with physician-to-physician consultation, bed-to-bed transfer of the patient, organisation of ground ambulance transportation at both ends of the flight and a full post-mission medical report from the treating physician.
A pre-flight medical clearance with a physician-to-physician consultation is included in all Air Ambulance flights.
EAA's air ambulance aircraft is capable of transporting two intensive care patients simultaneously and additional seated patients.
EAA has a dedicated Infectious Diseases Unit which provides high levels of protection to both patient and crew. This enables EAA to safely transport highly infectious patients utilising our specialised equipment and training to do so.
Combining intensive care and paediatrics, neonatology involves the specialist care of newborn and/or premature babies, invariably using an incubator.
European Air Ambulance has the capability to transport overweight and even obese patients – those with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of over 30 – subject to medical approval.
Aircraft configurations adapted to obese patients means that patients have more space and allow for the comfortable transportation of patients weighing up to 170kg.
EAA are happy to offer to fly pregnant women with special risk pregnancies.
They distinguish between maternal risks - for example, severe gestational diabetes, epilepsy, or a threatening condition in the expectant mother called (pre-) eclampsia. All maternal risk factors not only threaten the mother, but of course pose a risk to the unborn child!
A total of 6 air ambulance aircraft comprising five LearJet 45XR and one Challenger 605 belonging to Luxembourg Air Ambulance and based in Luxembourg (ELLX) are under the exclusive coordination of European Air Ambulance.
All aircraft are fitted with state-of-the-art medical equipment and necessary medication to ensure outstanding patient care.
The EAA Mission Control Centre is on duty 24 hours a day - 365 days a year.
