Corrected Review: A friend recommended Praga Medica. My query was responded to very quickly with helpful suggestions and questions. I made one trip to Prague for a comprehensive eye exam. I had a cataract. I have very difficult eyes to fit because of high diopter near-sightedness and severe astigmatism. I returned in two months for the surgery. It was very quick and painless. I was worried that the surgeon would have difficulty in getting the axis correct on the astigmatism aspect. But he assured me he had done thousands. The end result was simply amazing. I now have 20/20 in that eye – distant. It is the first time I’ve been without glasses in 52 years! They told me beforehand that I would need to use simple reading glasses and so is the case. I never had any post-op problems, no pain, no infections. I’m very happy. Also, I would highly recommend the Andel Apartments. Getting to the eye clinic is very easy on trams 10 or 16 to the I.P Pavlova station. The apartment is very well-kept and warm in a beautiful location. There are plenty of restaurants and a large Tesco market very close by. Finally, I very much appreciated the personal service of Zdenek. He made the whole experience a very easy one in picking me up, dropping me off, giving me reliable information and a cell phone (which I didn’t think I would need but it did come in handy), and always being there for my calls for help. He is fluent in English and an unfailingly cheerful fellow. Thanks, Zdenek!
