My husband accompanied me on the entire trip. We flew out from Stansted with Ryanair, arrived at Brno, and were greeted by David, the clinic driver. He was consistently excellent as he ferried us for pre-op tests and post-op physio. The hospital’s proximity to Luzanky Park was a pleasant perk. The operation went smoothly on Wednesday, lasting 1 1/2 – 2 hours, followed by 24 hours in the ICU. The nursing staff was exceptional, and the 8-day hospital stay was comfortable with good, plentiful food. Veronika was our daily contact and proved to be fun and extremely helpful. Recovery included regular physio sessions. After hospital discharge, a local stay for further physio was made convenient by David. The final stitch removal was successful, and the return journey via Munich with BMI was uneventful. The hip healed well with minimal scarring and pain management was effective. The hospital assisted with NHS reclaim paperwork, which has been approved.
