After visiting a dental practice in England and being quoted an exorbitant amount of money to replace my old bridges, I happened to read, in a Sunday newspaper, an article about Gozo and people going there for dental treatment by Dr. Joseph Xuereb. I got in touch and went for a consultation in spring 2009. I was given a quote that was a third of the amount wanted in the UK. Dr. Xuereb’s qualification in the UK gave me confidence, so I decided to have even more cosmetic and other dental work done. Now when I say I am in Malta to visit my dentist, no one can understand why. “But you have beautiful teeth,” they say, not knowing that these are not my own natural ones, as they look like they are. I made three trips in 2009 and recently for check-ups and minor work in March 2013, combining this with a few days or a week in the lovely sun.
