Woke up with a blocked ear while on holiday in Paphos. It wasn’t painful, just blocked. I decided to get it checked before flying the next day. Visited Royal Artemis on 4th October and was attended by Dr. Younes. He opted for syringing to clear my ear, despite my pain. After 5 attempts, I left with blood in my ear. The following morning, my pillow was soaked in blood. Returned to the hospital to ensure flying was safe. Saw Dr Antonis, who removed blood clots with a machine. Back home, my local doctor found a perforated eardrum by Dr. Younes. I now suffer from deafness and tinnitus, facing potential surgery and permanent hearing loss if the eardrum doesn’t heal within 4 weeks.
