We had spent five years trying to conceive, two of which were spent undergoing numerous tests at the hospital. They found no medical problems with either myself or my husband. Our only option was IVF, which we had to finance personally. Thus, we travelled to Egypt and met with Dr. Bassam Elhew at the Cairo Fertility Centre. Despite being one year over her maximum age criteria, he agreed to treat me. Thankfully, he did! After our second round of IVF at the Cairo Fertility Clinic, I am now 13 weeks pregnant with my first child and have just had my first scan.
