After investigating a number of overseas medical options, I found that Euromedical Tours and Zahid, in particular, were interested in helping me get the procedures I needed at a reasonable cost and in a safe environment. Zahid arranged several consultations, some via telephone/email, with different surgeons and provided the information required for an informed decision. I travelled to Lahore on the same flight as my surgeon, Dr. Moazzam, who kindly assisted me at the airport to ensure smooth immigration/customs procedures and transfer to the hotel. Dr. Moazzam performed the 10-hour operation the day after my arrival, and I stayed in the hospital for 5 days. The doctor checked on me daily, and I also received visits from his wife Maryam and unexpectedly from Zahid. The Ammar Medical Complex hospital was very clean, with professional, friendly, and caring staff. I had a variety of food choices, mainly from external restaurants. Despite some discomfort, I was impressed that I experienced minimal pain after the multiple operations. During my 9-day recovery at the hotel, I was escorted around Lahore shops and had a tour of the city with Dr. Moazzam. The staff were accommodating, helping me with shopping, food deliveries, and other needs. Back home, my local hospital praised Dr. Moazzam’s work, and my GP and surgery nurse commended the stitches removal. Thank you, Dr. Moazzam, for your skill, humour, and kindness.
