Review of PRAGA MEDICA by Surgery in Prague. Treatment date: over 12 months
My brother and I recently had eye lens replacement surgery in Prague by Praga Medica/Duovize Clinic. The whole experience was easy, straightforward, and well-planned. We stayed in Prague for 6 nights. Upon arrival on Monday, we had an eye examination on Tuesday. The first eye lens replacement surgery was on Wednesday, followed by the removal of the eye patch and an eye examination on Thursday. The same surgery was done on the other eye on Friday, and the eye patch was removed again for examination on Saturday. We then flew home on Sunday with 3 small bottles of eye drops. The staff, Monica, Katerina, Jana (treatment abroad consultant), Anna (treatment abroad coordinator), all medical staff, and the surgeon Lubomir Tovarek, who explained the procedure in English, were excellent. The surgery itself, with the optional laser, was painless, aided by eye drops to numb and dilate the eye. Staying at Ibis Praha Hotel Wenceslas, just a 3-minute walk from the eye clinic, was convenient. The location, close to the clinic and surgery site, was ideal. We had a cost-effective procedure with Trifocal lenses, not offered by Optical Express, and enjoyed a holiday in Prague.
