Review of Prague Beauty by DNAnimus. Treatment date: over 12 months
I had a gastric sleeve surgery a month ago organised by Prague Beauty at the hospital in Jablonec and Nisou. Tom Adamov was my coordinator. I am 1.67m tall, weighed 96.2KG on the day of surgery, and now, four weeks later, I am 87.7KG. Tom is brilliant at organising everything. I only had to worry about relaxing and preparing for my surgery. I am very happy about it: no surprises and no extra costs (everything was included from my flight to the month-long post-surgery treatment). I arrived the day before and stayed at a very nice hotel in Prague. The day of the surgery, I did the pre-op in Prague, super efficient, taking about one hour. Tom then drove me to the hospital in Jablonec, one hour from Prague. By then, most of my pre-op results were already there. I met Dr Vrany and a wonderful female doctor (I feel bad I can’t remember her name, as she was very nice and visited me every day). I had surgery on a Friday and was discharged the following Tuesday morning. The three days post-surgery were painful and mentally challenging, but having a single room and kind nurses made this journey bearable. I received painkillers as often as I asked. Upon discharge, Tom took me to a small flat near the hospital for two days, as a precaution. It’s a lovely little flat, and Tom is fantastic. He has hundreds of English movies on the TV, English books on the shelves, and appropriate liquid food in the kitchen. A week after the surgery, I could fly back to Germany, where I live. I am very happy I did the surgery and chose Prague Beauty. The initial weeks are difficult, painful, and I am still very tired, but my relationship with food has dramatically changed, which I believe is most important. I eat slowly, savor flavors, and listen to my body.
