Embryo Donation

Review of PRAGA MEDICA by Renata. Treatment date: over 12 months

We would like to share our experience with Praga Medica and the GEST clinic. We are 11 weeks pregnant thanks to the GEST clinic and the coordination help of Veronika at Praga Medica. We got pregnant on our first attempt with embryo donation after 14 years of trying and 2 failed IVF attempts here in the US. We were a little concerned about trying IVF abroad, but Veronika made us feel so welcome and comfortable that it made the decision easy. She was patient to explain and answer all of our questions and concerns about the procedures, and we are glad we did! Our first visit at the clinic, Veronika was there waiting for me and my husband and introduced us to Dr. Alexander, who did the check at the clinic to make sure I was on track with an ultrasound and examination. He also took the time to explain the next steps of my procedure, as well as finalize our paperwork and set up my medication. With Veronika’s help, we took advantage of the transportation package and the acupuncture package, which both made our procedure and visit much easier. Just note that when traveling from afar, with many connecting flights, make sure you leave plenty of time to cover delays. We missed one of our connecting flights due to a delay, and we had no way of contacting Praga Medica, who had already sent the driver to pick us up. So we had to cover the extra charge of 30 euros for that missed pick up. But this was still worth it, as Praga Medica was still able to rearrange a second pick up in the middle of the night. The second driver (Driver John) was so patient and kind and had no issues waiting for us at the airport. Prague is an absolutely beautiful city! Between the first appointment and transfer was about 8 days, so we had plenty of time to explore this wonderful city. We never felt insecure or worried about the language barrier. The city is easy to walk around with its many shops, attractions, and restaurants. Our embryo transfer was performed by Dr. Monika. She transferred 2 blastocyst embryos, with assistant hatching on both, with embryoGlue, and I got pregnant with a single baby. My husband was also able to be by my side during the transfer, which was wonderful for both of us. We would like to thank Veronika, Lucie, Praga Medica, and all the staff at GEST for helping make our dream come true! We are very hopeful to see each other in two more years from now to try for our second baby!
