Blade-free laser assisted cataract surgery in Turkey

23-Mar-2012

Dünyagöz Hospital Group brought the trailblazing Femtosecond Laser Phaco technology to Turkey. Dünyagöz Group who had already introduced Turkey the Intralase Laser technology which put an end to the methods with blade in operations for throwing away glasses launched the era of free-blade cataract surgery with the Femtosecond Laser technology. Eyes of patients with cataract will be treated via laser surgical intervention without any contact of hands to the eye, unlike the method with blade which was used until today, thanks to this new method which reduces the risk of complication to minimum and provides patients with high safety and comfort during the operation. By this way, undesired effects which may appear during the operation will be minimized. This trailblazing method in eye surgery will also enable perfectly the preparing of the area where the artificial intraocular lens is placed, which is the most significant process of the operation. Thus, patients with nearsightedness (Myopia), farsightedness (Hyperopia), and astigmatism will be able to get rid of their poor vision besides cataract with only one operation.
