Surgeon and Safari company has entered an agency agreement with Dr. Mothomang Diaho. The objective of expanding our network in the African market offering our reputable independent Medical Facilitation and Reliable Medical Concierges Services together with our unique Boutique Private Home Recuperation Accommodation packages.

Surgeon and Safari will also enter a branding partnership expanding our unique Surgeon and Safari private home recuperation accommodation packages to include a new residential property development in Sandton, offering additional facilities focused on the increasing demand of private patients from Africa seeking confidential, private, high quality, fully inclusive after care with all the necessary support in an environment conducive to wellness which is needed when travelling away from home, recuperating from medical treatment.

Surgeon and Safari continues to understands the vulnerability of the medical tourist and their need for quality service, attention to detail, with our clear Code of Conduct and Medical Tourist bill of Rights.

Dr Mothomang Diaho

Director

MBBS (Australia), DCH (College of Medicine S.A.), DTM&H (WITS), DPH (WITS), MBA (WITS), PMD (Harvard).

She obtained her medical degree in 1985 at the University of Adelaide, Australia. She has diplomas in Child Health, from the College of Medicine, Tropical Medicine & Hygiene and Public Health, and a Masters in Business Administration, from the University of the Witwatersrand and completed an executive programme (PMD) at the Harvard Business School. Mothomang is a current fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative ALI, an Aspen Institute associated Leadership Initiative. Mothomang is the proud mother of two teenage children.

Dr Mothomang working life spans just over 20 years, with most of that spent in the Public Health arena. She has worked in various places in Southern Africa as a medical officer, Programme Manager for HIV/AIDS programmes, Developing and managing Leadership programmes in the health field and developing and evaluating programmes.

After graduating as a medical doctor from the University of Adelaide in 1985. She completed her internship at the Queen Elisabeth Hospital in Maseru Lesotho after which she moved to Swaziland and worked initially as a medical officer on the outpatients department and subsequently as overall officer responsible for the female medical ward. She moved to Cape Town to work for the Cape Town City council managing primary health care clinics then worked at both the Red Cross and Groote Schuur Hospital as a medical officer. Her move to Johannesburg saw her working as a medical officer initially at Alexandra Clinic and then the Soweto Clinics as senior medical Officer.

She moved to consulting soon after than working with Abt Associates and then Health and Development Africa. Her focus during this time was on programme implementation support, evaluation and capacity development in various countries in Southern Africa. She worked for the United Nations during which time she was provided an opportunity to work with experts in the field of HIV/AIDS working within the UN system

Dr Diaho currently oversees the overall management of the HIV/AIDS programmes at the Nelson Mandela Foundation in her capacity as the head of the Dialogue programme.
