What is fetal stem cell therapy?

Fetal stem cells are non-specialised cells whose ability to differentiate into any other cell type in the body to form new organs and tissues makes them perfect material for combating a wide variety of human diseases. During a fetal stem cell treatment, a suspension of the progenitor cells that form the main tissue types is administered intravenously in a simple, minimally invasive procedure. Unlike stem cells of other origin, for example from bone marrow or cord blood, fetal stem cells are not associated with any histocompatibility problems and the treatment is safe and well tolerated.
