Hospitales Nisa is a leading provider of private healthcare in Spain. Its group of 10 state-of-the-art hospitals and medical centres offers a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services, as well as a number of specialist units.

Hospitales Nisa was established in Valencia in 1967 by a group of doctors wishing to meet a local need for private health provision and quality service. Originally known as Clinica Virgen del Consuelo SA, in 1991 the company acquired and fully renovated a second hospital, Hospital Nisa Valencia Al Mar, going on to change the company name to Nisa in 1992.

Nisa consolidated its position as the leader in the provision of private healthcare in Valencia with the inauguration of Hospital Nisa 9 de Octubre in 1993. Since then the group has open a third hospital in Valencia and has expanded nationally, opening hospitals in Castellón, Castilleja de la Cuesta, Madrid, Elche and Seville. Its expansion plans include the building of a brand new hospital in Valencia.

Hospitales Nisa provide convenient access to a comprehensive range of high quality hospital services including diagnostics, cardiology, paediatrics, neurology, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, gynaecology and obstetrics, general surgery, neurosurgery and brain injury rehabilitation, plastic and reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic surgery.

As a group, Hospitales Nisa offers 1200 beds, 97 operating and delivery rooms, 29 haemodialysis stations, 63 adult ICU beds, 62 paediatric ICU beds and 48 mental health beds. In 2015 it performed 56,972 surgeries and childbirths, attended to 352,430 emergencies and treated 683,237 patients on an outpatient basis.

The group carries ISO 9001: 2008 quality certification and its haemodialysis services are certified according to ISO 14001: 2004.

Continuous investment means that the group’s hospitals are equipped with the most advanced technology and they are pioneers regionally and nationally in a number of areas:

• Nuclear Medicine: first PET scanner in Valencia. Currently one of the few hospitals to have 3 MRI and 2 PET scanners in a single centre
• Neurosurgery: introduced first and most advanced neuronavigator

• Urology: pioneers in the use of green-light laser treatment for prostate disease

With a dedicated International Department, Hospitales Nisa welcomes overseas patients. All aspects of treatment and care are planned and organised by the helpful team and patients are supported throughout the treatment process from initial contact through to discharge and aftercare.

The International Department team at Hospitales Nisa speak Spanish, English and Russian, and all the group's doctors are English-speaking. Translators are on hand for patients who speak neither English nor Spanish, such as those from Arabic countries, Russia and Africa.
