Prof. Luigi Basso, MD, FRCSI, is a leading proctologist with an international reputation for minimally invasive surgery for pilonidal disease (PD). His research detailing the outcomes of over 800 patients with PD treated using this technique has recently been published in the prestigious journal, Colorectal Disease.
Prof. Basso is an associate professor at the Department of Surgery of Sapienza University of Rome Medical School. Familiar with all the main protological conditions, his impressive scientific background includes around 100 publications in international medical journals.
