IVF is not a magic wand in the struggle with infertility, however the success of the procedure per cycle does vary significantly among clinics, as well as depending on the characteristics of patients (primarily the age of the woman).
Through their own work and collaboration with other leading clinics, Ferona sees the IVF key to success being in the dedication and professionalism of the team, sincere and comprehensive multidisciplinary collaboration between physicians, embryologists, geneticists, nurses and psychologists, and patient-centred, individualised care.Crucially, by means of the knowledge and experience that they have gained from other leading European clinics and IVF pioneers, they also recognise that the most important key to success, almost doubling the chances of pregnancy, is having the highest possible standards of laboratory conditions. To this end, they have built a dedicated facility homing the region’s only international standard clean room IVF laboratory.

Technological advances now mean that the survival rate of eggs that have been frozen using the vitrification method is 95% or more, compared to 20% a few years ago. The fact that 40% of children born as a result of IVF procedures began life as a frozen embryo also attests to the safety of the procedure and today cryopreservation is successfully used to freeze egg cells, sperm, embryos and, in particular circumstances, the tissue around the testicles and the ovaries .
As a leader in the field of fertility preservation, Ferona offers solutions for patients with both malignant and benign conditions that endanger their reproductive function, such as cancer, endometriosis, premature exhaustion of ovarian function and severe damage to spermatogenesis.
Ferona welcomes international patients and works with a partner agency Link4MED to ensure that patients not only receive the highest quality medical care, but are fully supported and comfortable throughout their stay in Serbia.
