Dialysis Athens is a state-of-the-art facility designed with the purpose of allowing dialysis patients to enjoy a relaxing and stress-free holiday in the Greek capital. Equipped with the latest equipment and technologies, Dialysis Athens offers high-end dialysis services to residents of Athens and visiting tourists. The clinic is an independent department of West Athens Clinic, providing a high level of unified hospital services, if required.

Dialysis Athens aims at an integrated approach to nephrological rehabilitation, whether it concerns patients with chronic renal insufficiency who need an artificial kidney service or the timely prevention and treatment of nephrological diseases.

Two methods of dialysis are available: hemodialysis (HD) and hemodiafiltration (HDF).

Clinic staff speak Greek, English, French and Italian. Clinic/hotel transfers are provided by means of the clinic’s own ambulance service.

West Athens Clinic

West Athens Clinic is a modern hospital contracted with the Greek National Health Service and Private Insurance companies. The hospital is staffed by 15 specialist in-house doctors and surgeons, 150 external doctors and 70 nurses and paramedics. There are 3 fully equipped operating theatres, two ambulances, 60 general hospital beds and 14 hospital beds and 3 back-up in the Artificial Kidney Unit.

Departments at the hospital include urology, nephrology, an Artificial Kidney Unit, surgery, cardiology, orthopaedics, gastroenterology and gynaecology. Visiting associates cover the disciplines of haematology, endocrinology, hormonology, oncology, pulmonology, ophthalmology, otorhinolargyngology, vascular surgery and plastic surgery.

Flexibly priced dialysis sessions

The price of a dialysis session at Dialysis Athens is 350€.

This price is flexible depending on the patient’s length of stay.

‘Flying Nurse’ service

Dialysis Athens provides a ‘Flying Nurse’ service for patients who would like to be accompanied on their outward journey to Greece and return journey home.
