With the costs of dental treatment in the UK ever increasing and waiting lists getting longer each year, medical tourism for dental treatment is proving a popular choice for many UK patients. A recent study by Treatment Abroad analysed the trends in dental tourism, looking at both the number of UK patients going abroad for treatment and the most popular types of treatment. The Treatment Abroad study was carried out in the first 6 months of 2017 and reviewed over 3,000 website enquiries from dental patients across the UK. Dental Implants are by far the most popular treatment, receiving nearly 1,300 enquiries, followed by Dental Veneers with over 900 enquiries. These two treatments together form the majority of enquiries to the website, with the remaining nine treatments only receiving just under 1,000 enquiries in total.
