Total Knee Arthroplasty With Robot By Dr Philip Winnock De Grave
Review of AZ Delta Hospital by Ghislain Hubrecht. Treatment date: over 12 months
In August 2018, I received a total knee prosthesis, robot-assisted by Dr. Philip Winnock de Grave. To my surprise, I could walk without crutches within a few days. The surgeon recommended using crutches preventively for a few more weeks. I did not need painkillers. Rehabilitation progressed smoothly; I could bend my knee 90° within days and ride my bike after 4 weeks. Six weeks of physiotherapy proved ample. Resuming walking was enjoyable. Occasionally, I experienced minor knee pain at night due to overactivity, easily relieved by walking around the bed. I have regained the ability to partake in all my former activities: cycling, walking, gardening, painting, and wallpapering. My zest for life has been restored. I am thankful to Dr. Philip Winnock de Grave for his pioneering approach, which greatly facilitated my recovery.
