Sliding Genioplasty Rhinoplasty For Ffs

I’m a Swedish MTF undergoing the journey of transitioning. I have been on hormones for a while, but my face was still too masculine to pass in public. I previously had rhinoplasty and a chin reduction in Scandinavia to feminize my face, but it didn’t turn out very well, so I decided to opt for a professional in facial feminization. I also had a previous jaw surgery in Sweden to correct an overbite, which gave me an even manlier jawline. After a lot of research and consultations, I chose The Singelberg Clinic and Dr Van der Dussen. The consultation was excellent. I had some email contact before with his assistant, Marije, who handled the booking and traveling instructions. I also received drawings of our goals. My chin was very masculine and square, so the doctor performed a sliding genioplasty to remove bone and correct the asymmetry. This operation was challenging due to working under a nerve, so I’m glad I chose an experienced professional. The nose had an ‘open roof deformity’ and scarring from the previous surgery, looking too masculine for a transgender woman. It took time to heal, and despite being mentally stable, I felt somewhat depressed during the recovery with swelling and bruising. Patience was needed before the swelling subsided and results became apparent. Now, a year later, I appear more feminine, complemented by hormone effects. Though I still have some remaining procedures like addressing the Adam’s apple and hair removal, I feel I am on the right path. Overall, I’m delighted with my decision to travel to Belgium for this transformation.
