Review of FIV Center Madrid by Maddie. Treatment date: over 12 months

After reading a newspaper article regarding UK citizens traveling abroad for IVF treatment, I decided to look into this further. I had one unsuccessful IVF ICSI cycle at The Oxford Fertility Clinic in the UK and found the experience to be cold, insensitive, uninformative, and expensive for not a great, private medical establishment. I researched many IVF clinics in Spain and communicated with a few before making my final decision to proceed with making a consultation appointment with the FIV Center in Madrid. It is quite difficult to choose a clinic, as reviews are very limited. This is the reason for making a review to help provide some assurance to others. My communications were dealt with by Naomi, whose English is excellent and she really made the whole process easy. She explained the treatment in detail and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. The clinic has a calming environment, with background music playing, which puts you at ease. The staff are welcoming and give the impression that they wish to do their utmost for your treatment to succeed. On the whole, I would recommend anyone visiting the FIV Center. Dr. Caballero deals with your case from the first consultation through to the final transfer. He completely and personally oversees your treatment, including taking the scans and the blood tests. I think this is a superb service, having a small, close team dealing with your case, instead of too many people being involved. No wonder medical records go missing in the UK! At no time did I ever feel uncomfortable at this clinic, even though I was in another country and had no grasp of the Spanish language. All the staff spoke to me in English, which was much appreciated (so thank you all). I am still awaiting whether there is a positive result from the treatment, but I wanted to do this review, regardless of the result.
