Very Happy I Made The Decision

Review of PRAGA MEDICA by GeeDee. Treatment date: over 12 months

First visit: Mar 2018. 2nd visit: April 2018. 3rd visit: Feb 2019. I think it’s fair to leave my review here as I used this website as part of my research before making a decision. Before I visited Dr. Teleshman (organised through Praga Medica), I hadn’t visited a dentist for around 30 years. First, I was scared of dentists due to poor dentistry experiences when I was younger. This fear then turned to embarrassment, which, in turn, became shame at the state I had allowed my teeth to get into. I had several broken teeth and had also lost some fillings (fortunately mainly at the back so my front teeth looked okay on the whole). I decided I needed to do something or risk losing all my teeth, so I considered options and, after reading many reviews, decided to visit Dr. Teleshman in Prague. What a great decision. I visited Prague 3 times in 12 months, spending 5 days with Dr. T in total. During that time, I had 3 root canal treatments, 3 extractions, 3 ceramic inlays, and 7 crowns fitted. I also had a couple of black amalgam fillings replaced with white fillings and, of course, I had my teeth cleaned. Treatment was a great success. I now have a far more confident smile with natural-looking teeth, not bright white and fake looking, although I’m sure that can be done if it’s what you want. Also, I no longer suffer toothache, which had previously been excruciating at times. I have completely lost my fear of dentists – Dr. T at least – believe it or not, I felt no pain throughout my treatments, although my jaw did ache from keeping my mouth open so long! One of the key factors affecting my decision was the excellent communication with Praga Medica in English – I needed to be able to express myself and to be understood. When I first visited Dr. Teleshman, I also found his English excellent, to a very advanced level, and he was able to explain the treatments and available options in detail. I don’t have much experience with dentists, but I think Dr. Teleshman must be a master for what he achieved for me. If you are thinking about visiting a dentist in Prague, I would say don’t hesitate to contact Praga Medica; they can even arrange airport pick-up and hotel accommodation for you. I’m a pretty independent traveler, so I didn’t need this option, but it may be helpful for you to know. Also, Prague is a beautiful city and worth visiting if you have never been, as I had not previously. Thank you to Dr. Teleshman, all the staff at Praga Medica, and to beautiful Maria for looking after me and making me feel so welcome and comfortable. A very good experience all round… considering what it was! Note: the only reason I gave 4 stars for patient communication rather than 5 was that the Praga Medica representative I was liaising with left the company between my visits and failed to pass on all my requests. I’m sure that’s rare.
