All my enquiries and arrangements were made online, and Petra was very quick to respond with costs and suggestions. This is a very easy thing to arrange with Praga Medica. Upon arrival, I was met by a driver who took me to the hotel booked for me. I was given a local phone with contact details for Petra, who organized my trip and looked after me. The next morning, Petra walked me to the clinic, about 200 meters from the hotel. I had a comprehensive health check with an ECG, something not standard in the UK before surgery, and then talked to the surgeon about my operation. After agreeing on the procedure, I prepared for surgery in my room. The operation was in the afternoon, and I woke up in my room. Despite expecting more pain after previous implants, I was up walking that night and given painkillers intravenously. By day two, I was on oral painkillers, feeling fine but eager to explore Prague. I spent two nights in the clinic, visited by the surgeon each day. On day 3, I returned to my hotel with discharge instructions and a care pack. Day 4 included a pre-flight check with the surgeon. Petra was amazing, answering all pre-visit questions and accompanying me to appointments, ensuring no misunderstandings. Surgeon and nurses spoke excellent English. Two weeks post-op, I regret nothing; the surgery with Praga Medica has been life-changing. The professionalism and affordability led me to return after an eye surgery earlier this year.
