The Results Are Excellent

Review of PRAGA MEDICA by Varta. Treatment date: over 12 months

The service could not be faulted – from being picked up at the airport to the arrival of Tereza, my angel in a strange city, at my hotel to take me to the clinic – and, as I had chosen to come to Prague on my own, she even came into the first surgery with me, which was immensely reassuring. I had made it clear that I was more interested in my distance vision than in whether or not I would need glasses for reading and I was warned that it might not be possible to achieve 20:20 vision as there are risks associated with over-compensating – so it is not an exact science. However, the results the clinic has managed is nearly 20:20 vision in my right eye and close to that in my left – and I can also use a computer and read a book in good light without reading glasses! I could not have hoped for more! Only when I arrived in Prague did I elect to have the femto-cataract surgery rather than the more conventional kind available in the UK as femto-cataract surgery has greater accuracy and faster recovery time. I still paid less than two-thirds of what it would have cost me in the UK – and got a holiday in a fascinating city into the bargain!
