After many consultations, I was told that I was too young to have a knee replacement with the NHS. I looked into going abroad for surgery, taking great care to read all testimonials and to speak with a member of the team before committing. Finally, I chose Operations Abroad Worldwide as they made me feel ‘individual’ and took time to explain everything in detail to me. I traveled to France in March this year for the knee replacement where I spent 14 nights in total. My husband and I were greeted at the airport and taken to our 4-star hotel prior to me going in for surgery the following day. The clinic was spotless and all the staff were so friendly and obliging. My husband was made to feel welcome and did not feel in the way, as is sometimes the case when visiting hospitals in the UK. I am now considering returning next year to have my other knee done so that my husband and I can continue enjoying our walks together.
