Video Transcript: Where should I go for medical tourism?

Where you go really depends on what treatment you need. Our advice would be to select the doctor, the dentist, the hospital or the clinic first. Rather than select a country and then go looking for a healthcare provider.

There's an awful lot of choice nowadays and certain countries have become more popular for some treatments.

Hungary, for example, is certainly the number one destination for dentistry.

Countries such as Belgium, India have become very popular for orthopaedic treatments such as hip and knee replacements. And if you're looking for cosmetic surgery, some people will travel as far afield as South Africa - others will go closer to home, Spain or Cyprus.

In America, US patients are travelling to South America. And increasingly in the Far East countries such as Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore are taking an increasing number of US based patients.
