Rehabilitation treatment after knee surgery for a Finnish skier in Croatia

Finnish Alpine skier Victor Malmström damaged his knee ligaments and required surgery, which he received in Finland during April 2011. He then went to Terme Selce in Croatia for a period of rehabilitation treatment.

On his blog, Victor wrote:

"When I arrived here we started immediately with therapy. We reduced the swelling with ice and help of machines. The staff here seems really nice and welcoming. They have a good sense of humor so I think I will enjoy my stay over here."

One month after surgery he wrote:

"I’ve been here now for almost two weeks and my knee is great. Thanks to my physiotherapist in Finland (Mikko Virtala) and the guys here in Terme Selce. It’s amazing how fast my knee is getting better and how my muscles are coming back. The leg was really weak before, so I can feel the difference."
