Dr. Mikek’s field of expertise is the treatment of injuries and diseases of the shoulder joint and elbow, as well as treating and preventing sports injuries. He has had intense professional training in the fields of minimum invasive arthroscopic treatment techniques and shoulder prosthetics at several renowned centres in the USA and Europe, among them also in acclaimed centres such as the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles, and the Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Institute in San Diego.
Mohsen Hussein, M.D.
Dr. Hussein deals primarily with treating injuries and diseases of the knee joint. He acquired his knowledge of cutting edge arthroscopic surgical techniques from two renowned foreign experts: Professor Olsen in Denmark, who is one of the leading experts in the field of surgical treatment of knee menisci, and Professor Fu in the USA, the leading expert in the field of arthroscopic treatment of the anterior cruciate ligament injuries. Dr. Hussein was the first person in Slovenia to perform the latest double-bundle technique of reconstructing an injured anterior cruciate ligament
Andrej Prlja, M. D.
Dr. Prlja’s field of expertise covers spinal column diseases and problems relating to the foot or ankle. He is one of the leading experts in the field of adult orthopaedic foot and ankle disorders and has been trained by leading international experts. He regularly publishes professional articles and papers in Slovenian and foreign professional journals, and takes part as a lecturer and instructor at professional symposiums and workshops.
