'Butt lift' demand on the rise

Most parts of the body can now be enhanced by cosmetic surgery and the rear end is no exception.

According to Cosmetic Harmony, a medical tourism company which specialises in cosmetic surgery in Columbia, a growing number of people are requesting information on the 'Brazilian butt lift'.

The procedure, which can be performed on an outpatient basis, is growing in popularity around the world but, according to the company, it has long been performed in Columbia.

Anthony Giudice, vice-president of sales at Cosmetic Harmony, noted that patients never want to feel they are in inexperienced hands when undergoing cosmetic surgery.

"With a cosmetic procedure that is fairly new, like the butt lift, it can be difficult to find a skilled surgeon," he revealed.

"But because of the high volume of patients that Colombian surgeons see, as well as the length of time they have been performing the procedure, a butt lift is as common to Colombian surgeons as breast augmentation."
