Poland has already established itself as one of the main destinations for UK patients seeking
treatment abroad and it is now becoming just as popular for its spa resorts, it has been claimed.
According to StatMedica, Poland boasts a multitude of spa resorts which offer a range of enticing treatments, ideal for anyone recuperating after medical treatment.
Managing partner Lukasz Liese, who is based in Warsaw, commented: "While it is true that Poland is an attractive destination for patients seeking a high standard of dental treatment and surgery, it is also emerging as a popular destination for affordable spa treatments and relaxing breaks."
Spokeswoman Alison Hope added: "While guests can expect popular spa treatments such as saunas, steam rooms and massage, spa resorts in Poland also focus on the relationship between health and wellbeing, with many having a doctor, nutritionist and physiotherapist on site."
She noted that many Polish spas also offer unique treatments such as salt caves, thermal baths and kryotherapy - a treatment that involves a short period in a freezing room and that is believed to be beneficial for rheumatism, osteoporosis and cellulite.
Poland could be the ideal destination for a wellness break as it is affordable and easily accessible from the UK.
