The Centre for Assisted Fertilisation: Infertility clinic in Naples and Rome, Italy
CFA, founded and directed by Professor Brian Dale, a leading British Reproductive Scientist, is the largest IVF centre in Italy with clinics in Rome and Naples. With more than 4000 babies born over the last 15 years, CFA is considered to be amongst the best in Europe, thanks also to its Internationally qualified staff.
CFA has treated hundreds of couples from the UK, USA, Switzerland and the Middle East.
Why choose Italy for fertility treatment?
Childless couples not only have to bear the brunt of an expensive medical treatment, but are also often faced with failure and the stress of years of diagnoses and trials. International statistics indicate an overall success rate of 35-45% in the best accredited clinics and many fall below this level. CFA offers maximal success rates – at a competitive cost – in the most sought after holiday destinations in Europe. Many overseas patients spend 4 days on the Sorrento Peninsula, or in the city of Rome.
Italian legislation (Legge 40, 2004; modified 151/2009 and 162/2014) is one of the most favourable in Europe, allowing both oocyte and embryo vitrification, the transfer of upto 3 embryos or blastocysts (of particular interest to patients over 38), PGD, Egg and Sperm Donation and oocyte enrichment by injecting mitochondria (cytoplasmic transfer).
Infertility treatments in Italy
The Centres in Italy offer all the state of the art treatments from IVF, ICSI, IMSI, TESE, through assisted hatching, blastocyst culture and pre- implantation genetic diagnosis, in a caring and attentive environment. For cases of repetitive IVF failures and recurrent abortion, CFA offers Intralipid Infusion Therapy.
The locations in Italy
Rome, the eternal city, requires little introduction. CFA’s purpose built IVF Centre at the Rome American Hospital is easily accessed from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports and the Termini railway station.
The Naples unit is located in the panoramic district of Vomero, about 20mins from the airport or station, with fabulous views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius.
Donation and surrogacy
The CFA Donor programme is carried out both in Rome and Naples and, when requested, in our partner centres in Athens, Madrid and Boston. Patients who require gamete donation or advice on surrogacy (Boston) are registered and treated directly in the London office.
What does it cost?
To facilitate CFA’s expatriate patients the cost for IVF, ICSI or IMSI is £1900. They are totally transparent with fees. There are no hidden costs. Medication and travel are of course extra. For egg and sperm donation contact the London office for prices.
How do I enroll at CFA?
The first step is to fill in a questionnaire from one of our websites, send an email or call us directly.
One of our consultants or coordinators will call you back and discuss your treatments options.
You will then receive a schedule and protocol.
Preparation for the cycle may be carried out in the UK, in that case you need only to spend 4 days in Italy, alternatively the whole cycle may be carried out in Italy.
We can arrange for local medical care in the UK before and after the treatment.
