Highly experienced and qualified dentists in Istanbul, Turkey 

Dr. Ufuk Tosun graduated from Eagean University, School of Dentistry (Izmir-Turkey) in 1990. He maintained a private practice in Milas/Mugla until 1995. In his practice in Milas, limited to private patients, Dr. Tosun provided premium dental care for his patients. He then moved to England for postgraduate dental education. Prior to his postgraduate study, he completed an Advanced Level English course at Southwark College in London. In 1999, he started MScD by research at University of Wales College of Medicine, Dental School in Cardiff, UK. He completed his MScD degree in Dental Implants in 2002.

Dr. Goksu Trakyali - Orthodontist

Dr Göksu Trakyali was born in Germany and moved to Turkey, Istanbul with her family. In 2001, just after finishing dental school, she began her Orthodontic education at Yeditepe University Department of Orthodontics. She finished the orthodontic program in 2005 and in the same year she became research assistant in Yeditepe University Department of Orthodontics.

Leading dental technology

Istanbul Implant Centre are able to capture detailed images of the teeth and jaw structures, immediately without waiting for film processing, as the digital images are directly transferred onto an LCD screen at the dentist's chair. They also have the Compudent system, which allows dentists to offer a pain free approach to delivering local anaesthetics.

Sterilisation and disinfection

Sterilisation and disinfection is the most important aspect of clinical dentistry. Members of dental team have a duty to ensure that infection control procedures are followed routinely. All used instruments are completely cleaned before sterilisation.

Istanbul Implant Centre has procedures in place to sterilise all non disposable equipment used during a treatment. Equipment is decontaminated with a first washing and is then placed in an ultrasonic washer before being sterilised in an autoclave. Sterilisation is performed at the highest temperature.
