Face lift and rhinoplasty in Turkey

Ms Joanne Baum, aged 43, from Luton went to Turkey for cosmetic surgery and paid a third of the price that she would have paid in the UK. She heard about cosmetic surgeon, Nazim Cerkes, via a Turkish friend and when she wanted to have some surgery herself she looked him up on the internet.

She had a mid face lift (including cheek implants), classic face and neck lift, as well as top eye lift and a nose reconstruction. She wasn’t going to have the nose done but the surgeon informed her that her previous nose job which she had done 25 years ago had disintegrated and they needed to take some cartilage from her ear in order to redo this.

Altogether the surgery cost £6,000, and she paid a further £600 for flights and accommodation, staying one week in Turkey incorporating three nights in the hospital accommodation (where en-suite rooms are like luxury hotel mini suites with plasma TVs, fridge, room service and lounge areas) then in a five star luxury hotel in another part of the city which cost around £35 per night.

In the UK, the same amount of surgery would have cost at least £18,000 so Ms Baum saved a great deal. She said: “I felt I was in very capable hands, I have had cosmetic surgery in the UK and in other countries but I found the service and competencies of the staff in Turkey superior, and I’m very happy with the results.
