Face, neck and upper eye lift in Wroclaw, Poland

73-year-old Marie Sutherland has recently returned from the trip of a lifetime to receive treatment from the dedicated and caring cosmetic surgeons of Euromedica Cosmetic Surgery in Wroclaw, Poland. 

Marie got in touch with Alina Deeble, Director of Euromedica in September 2007. Alina said she would send Marie a brochure, and if she wanted to go ahead with treatment she could be fitted in on 5 November.

Marie found that there were flights to Wroclaw from Gatwick every other day, so she booked her flight and sent in her deposit of £250 against the total fee (including 2 weeks' full board accommodation) of £3,750.

On arrival at the airport in Poland Marie was taken by RangeRover to the cosmetic private hospital for preliminary blood tests and then shown next door to her accommodation. She recalls: "It was a really lovely place, very classy and very, very clean. I’d say it was equivalent to a five star hotel. Only cosmetic patients were housed there and we were given our own rooms complete with en suite facilities."

Marie received treatment under local anaesthetic on account of her age and high blood pressure. The procedure lasted 4 hours.

The followng day Peter, her surgeon, and Alina were most attentive: "He changed my tight bandages and made me more comfortable. I felt quite weak and didn’t feel hungry and Alina kept popping in to see me in bed bringing hot lemon and honey and biscuits. Bless her. She was just like a mother hen. She also gave me a quarter of a sleeping tablet and I really had a good nights’ sleep."

There were several other British patients under the care of Euromedica while Marie was there and a great sense of cameraderie developed between them, which made Marie's recovery period pass quickly and enjoyably.

10 days later Marie had her stitches removed and flew home to her family. 

"You hear so much of mishaps in cosmetic surgery," she says, "that I would like to put the record straight. My experience and care could not been improved upon and, as you can see with my before and after photos, it certainly was worth it."
