Participate in the Medical Tourism Survey

Last year we published PriceWatch, the first comprehensive survey of medical tourism prices, and earlier this year, we published our Medical Tourism Survey, which enabled us to establish the size, value and nature of the market for medical tourism in the UK.
 
We are continuing our policy of investing in research into medical tourism. We intend to carry out a detailed survey of medical tourists themselves, to find out:
 
  • Why they decided to go abroad for treatment
  • Where they went for treatment
  • Why they chose the country/clinic
  • How they rated their treatment
  • How they rated their medical tourism experience
 
In return for your participation, hospitals, clinics and medical tourism agencies will:
  • Get a free copy of the compiled full report providing valuable insight into the medical tourism market.
  • Receive the data obtained from responses from your patients. (Note this will be provided in spreadsheet form for you to analyse).
  • Benefit from the press and media exposure which the publication of the survey report will achieve in the press and media.
 

What to do next?

 
There are two ways in which you can participate:
 
  1. Send us the email addresses of as many of your past patients as you can, and we will send them an invitation to participate in the survey. These addresses will not be disclosed to anyone else or used for any other purpose.
  2. Send the invitation below to your past patients by email
 
Please do one of the above as soon as possible. We would like to gather as many responses as we can over the next 4-6 weeks.

As someone who has travelled to <NAME OF YOUR COUNTRY> for treatment with <NAME OF YOUR CLINIC/HOSPITAL/COMPANY>, can you help us with some research into medical tourism?
 
Like you, more and more people are travelling overseas for surgery and treatment. The aim of this research is to learn more about how and why people go abroad for treatment and to gain some feedback on their experience.
 
This survey is being conducted by a UK market research company, European Research Specialists, on behalf of Treatment Abroad (www.treatmentabroad.net), a web site which provides an information resource on the web for medical tourists. Your responses will be kept confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than this research project. The company is registered under the UK Data Protection Act.
 
£100 of Marks & Spencer vouchers
As an incentive to complete the survey, five participants drawn at random, who complete the survey in full, will receive £100 of Marks & Spencer vouchers.
